Community Singing Group - Sing Out Loud, Colchester - Taster Sessions

Posted on behalf of Karen Hughes - Sing Out Loud (community singing group)

Hello and welcome to all new singers,

Come and join Colchester community singing group, Sing Out Loud, for your FREE Taster session, one Monday evening, during term time (dates shown above).

We started in Colchester in November 2014, and are open to men and women of any age (20s to 80s), and singing ability.   Whether you are a complete beginner, or unsure if you can sing, come along and give us a try.

There are no auditions and no need to be able to read music, as we learn new and familiar songs by ear (folk, 1920s/30s, 1960s/70s, contemporary pop, singer-songwriter, etc).

Sing Out Loud is known for its warm, friendly welcome to newcomers - whether you come on your own or with a friend.

Arrive from 7.00 pm, so we can say Hello to you, and introduce you to some of the other singers, before a 7.15 pm start.  We finish at 9.15 pm.

We have a break half way, so you can chat with the other singers.  Remember to bring a mug and spoon in a plastic bag, if you'd like a hot drink (saves washing up/swifter return to singing).

The Quaker Meeting House is close to buses (Head Street and High Street), and nearby parking (St Mary's Car Park).  There's always someone to walk back with, to the car park.

Full details of how to join, will be provided.  You are welcome to call, in advance (07853 132 633), if you have any questions or, if you'd like to speak to someone beforehand.

We look forward to meeting you, soon, and helping you discover or rediscover your voice!

Best wishes,

Karen Hughes
